I have worked in a variety of settings, both statutory and third sector for over 20 years. As a social worker I supported children, young people, adults, and families experiences a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenges. I have worked with children who have experienced abuse, neglect, domestic abuse, trauma, and parental separation. I have supported children and young people who have been in or are going through the fostering and adoption process. I have experience of working with children, adults and families who have family illness and/or bereavement, and those experiencing loss, separation and anxiety. In addition I work with families to promote healthy attachments and positive parenting, including use of therapeutic parenting techniques and joint parent/child sessions, including Filial Therapy.
I am an Integrative Play Therapist informed by both theory and research on Attachment, Child Development, Working with Children and Families, Bereavement theory and Neurobiology.
I provide therapy face-to-face from my dedicated therapy room situated just off the M4 near Chippenham, in family homes and online depending on circumstances and suitability.
